FBC likes to do all we can to help students feel at home. At FBC we have links with the University of the West of England and its’ Christian Union (www.uwecu.co.uk); we support the CU in their work. As a church we look forward to meeting any new or returning students. 

FBC is located less than 10 minutes walk away from UWE halls of residence on St Mathias campus, and also within walking distance of UWE’s Glenside campus. As a church we have a student team to welcome in students and help them feel at home in Bristol and in our church. There are several people within the church who like to have students over for meals and who are keen to support those new to the area.

FBC is a fairly large and busy church and there are lots of ways you can get involved if you want. We have 4 different worship bands and our musical worship does vary slightly from week to week to reflect different styles and our diverse congregation.

No Strings – (see link from home page). This is an excellent way to get involved in meeting and serving our local community, it also helps you to get to know others from the church as you work alongside them doing something practical like washing cars or helping hand out free burgers at the local park.

House groups –  FBC has plenty of house groups meeting at different times in people’s homes around the Fishponds area. These groups meet every other week and seek to help their members grow in knowledge and application of God’s word, whilst getting to know each other better, supporting and encouraging one another.
