 Katie Profile

Katie James (Minister in Training)

Katie is the minister in training at Fishponds Baptist Church. She trains at Bristol Baptist College two days a week and the rest of her time is dedicated to life at FBC. Her passion lies in communicating God’s love to anyone who will listen and loves preaching. She is usually spotted roaming around with a cup of tea in hand and is always up for a friendly chat.

Radi

Radi Vasileva (Families Worker)

My name is Radostina, which means ‘joy’, but if it’s difficult to pronounce it, you can call me Radi! I’m from Bulgaria and moved to Bristol with my family in 2018. I’m married and have 2 wonderful kids- a girl and a boy.
I worked as a journalist in Christian media for 10 years.
I have a Theology degree and I’ve always been involved in church ministry. I have a passion in my heart to share Jesus in everything I do with the people around me. I love seeing people’s lives being changed by God’s love.

Aaron

 Aaron Beale (Youth Worker)

My name is Aaron, I'm married to Natalie and we have two children. We moved to Bristol in 2014 and love it here. I have 7 years' experience in youth work and 3 in church leadership. I have a degree in Applied Theology (Youth & Community Work). My passion is making Jesus known in a real down to earth way that people can understand.

Ruth Hamburgh
 (Foodbank Manager
)

Even when I fail God still loves me!

I coordinate collection of food donations to give out to our local, vulnerable people who've fallen on hard times. However, it's not all about food!

A warm welcome, to be treated with respect, dignity and compassion is a must for our guests. They are our priority.

I'm immensely proud of my two teams who use their amazing talents, time and abilities to help others and change lives.

Rachel Wadey
 (
Leader of Hope in the Hut:
  a hub for female ex-offenders
)

My name is Rachel and I am married with 3 children. I am a qualified nurse but have been a full time mum for many years.  I have been coming to FBC for 28 years! I love to hang out with friends, walk the dog and love holidays with the family!

I thoroughly enjoy helping out at church with Foodbank and recently have started leading the ladies hub.

Hope in the Hut is a ladies support group for
ex-offenders but anyone is welcome. We share with each other, laugh, cry, drink lots of coffee and eat home made cake and do crafts! We are there for ladies who are feeling vulnerable and need support in a non judgemental environment.

It’s Beatrice Anayo here, I am an encourager who is open, welcoming and longs to journey with you. I am available for God’s use in sharing God’s love through listening, caring, praying and standing alongside others. Oh taste and see that the Lord is good, have you tasted it for yourself? Why not join us here at FBC and experience the warmth, friendship and a wonderful hospitality for which you will have your own new song to sing for God’s glory.
